HERMES project Partners presented a poster at the 14th FELASA Congress in Prague (CZ)

from June 10 to 13, 2019

A poster titled “A new approach for harmonising the Laboratory Animal Science education and training in Europe” has been presented at the 14th FELASA Congress 2019 (Topic A: Education and training), taking place in Prague (Czech Republic) from June 10 to 13, 2019. Silvia D’Albenzio (IZSAM), as Project Coordinator, attended the Conference as Poster primary author.

Indeed, FELASA (Federation of European Laboratory Animal Science Associations) is a relevant stakeholder of the HERMES project, representing the common interests of LAS Associations in the furtherance of all aspects of laboratory animal science (LAS) in Europe and beyond, and putting the 3Rs of Laboratory Animal Science – ‘Replacement, Reduction and Refinement’ – in the centre of its action.

The FELASA Congress is a triennial scientific and educational event, offering the current knowledge and improvements on the use and welfare of animals in experiments, along with the opportunity to build and reinforce networks, as well as to exhibit innovations in the field of animal care materials and equipment.

The HERMES project poster contributes to the achievement of the FELASA Congress goals by presenting the entire project framework and background, as agreed by project partners, while also outlining the five expected project Intellectual Outputs (IOs).

The event gave also the occasion to present the project to relevant stakeholders and to explore possible ways to cooperate and benefit of the HERMES intellectual outputs.
